For Liliana’s first time in her Bumbo, I wanted to capture the moment on film. So I thought I might as well put her in an outfit she hasn’t worn yet. So there I am looking through her closet and out pops a flower! A flower sleeper that I was waiting for her to grow into so I could photograph her in it…. today was that day – finally it fits her! So we get in front of the studio’s bright lights, I put her nursery rhymes on the studio ipod and she takes her first seat in her Bumbo – wow…. she sat right up and looked around…. what a perfect little flower baby, sitting to get her portraits taken…. I was one happy mother ~ one happy photographer!
What a better way to capture the moments from a first birthday then to buy a cupcake and see what happens! This is what we did for Alex’s 1st birthday photo shoot! It was like a private little birthday party in the studio, we had the nursery rhymes flowing and yummy blue cupcakes!

Every year I get a ton of bookings for valentines day portraits. Intimate portraits of girlfriends, fiances, wives to give to their spouse for their eyes only. This year, one of those bookings was for a re-make of one of my magic realism self-portraits. I was so excited to know that someone loved my piece so much that they wanted a portrait of themselves like that with their own spin on it…. and for such an intimate gift. This made me so happy and boy did I ever enjoy doing this!

I wrapped up a successful 2010 wedding season by shooting a beautiful October wedding at Hockley Valley Resort in Orangeville, Ontario.
My family have been friends with the bride’s family for years, so at my first consultation with the bride and groom they asked if they could have a second photographer on the wedding day and if my dad might be interested. I get my artistic talents from my dad and I knew he would be the perfect person to shoot alongside me on their wedding day. And was I ever right! My father has an eye like a celebrity paparazzi – which is what every bride loves on their wedding day.
The one reason the bride and groom chose Hockley Valley Resort is because they could cater a “real” Italian menu. And OMG it was the most amazing meal I have ever enjoyed while working a wedding. If this is what you are looking for on your wedding day – then look no further, this is the place to have your wedding!
Here are some of my favorite moments from Chantelle and Dan’s Hockley Valley Resort wedding.
Congratulations Chantelle and Dan, thank you for having my dad and I as a part of your day!

I woke up one morning from a dream about babies. Being pregnant for the first time had my head going and going with thoughts and ideas all about babies. This idea I was dreaming of put a BIG smile on my face and made me jump up and start sketching out ideas… as a creative person, I love dreams like this. That day I called my sister-in- law to ask if I could take some pictures of my nephew, who is also my Godson… she said “of course!” So here is a sneak peek at my new specialty ~ Alphabet Babies…
