I was very excited for my maternity portraits. I was trying to wait until I was 36 weeks, but couldn’t wait any longer, so at 35 weeks and 5 days pregnant I got my hair and make up done by professionals and was ready to go! So into the studio I went with Sam and one of his friends who would be assisting me in taking my own portraits. We had a ton of fun….. but one thing I realized is that you get very hot and sweaty on the other side of the camera. My clients often mention how hot they are, but since the studio is never hot I kinda always ignore them more or less…. but now I know what they are talking about – wow I was hot in front of the camera. Note for all future shoots – turn the a AC on!
It’s a good thing I did the shoot when I did because my little girl Liliana decided to come 2.5 weeks early! At 37 weeks 4 days pregnant I went into labour and met the most beautiful angel who I have been waiting to meet for almost 9 months. She was the best early Christmas gift I could have ever received.
